French-German Week May 2021

From 18^th to 21^st May, Alliance Francaise de Kampala and Goethe-Zentrum Kampala organized together a week full of events regarding the topic of “sustainability” on their shared premises in the newly designed basement. The week began with a panel discussion with entrepreneurs from the fashion and design sector about sustainable developments in Uganda and East Africa, followed the next day by the screening of the Ghanaian documentary “Blame Game” about global electronic waste disposal. The movie night was closed with a discussion around plastic waste disposal in Uganda. Highlight of the joint event week was the underground Open Stage on Friday evening with previously selected artists showcasing their musical and performing talents expressing their thoughts concerning sustainability.
