Open Call: Literature Festival Curator

The Goethe Zentrum Kampala / Uganda Cultural Society is looking for a curator for its inaugural literature festival. The festival will have a prelude in December 2024 and have its full premier in 2025. The festival aims to support the growth of the sector through skill development, encouraging critical dialogue on literature and foster networking and collaboration across borders.

Profile of applicant:

We welcome applications from organization registered in Uganda with over 10 years’ experience working within the local literature scene with strong international networks.

 A one-page proposal with your curatorial vision for the festival and suggestions for the prelude event in December 2024.

 Proof of registration in Uganda

 Proof of experience convening and organizing workshops and conferences with local and international players

 Proof of international networks with other festivals, authors, publishers and relevant institutions

 Expected curatorial fee
