It was an honor to host Jacqueline Asiimwe, a remarkable human rights attorney and adventure enthusiast, at our premises for a discussion on her new memoir, Facing Mountains. The conversation was moderated by celebrated Ugandan author Goretti Kyomuhendo, who led an engaging discussion that helped the audience dive deeper into the key themes of the book: family, literal mountains, life, religion to mention but a few.
Jacqueline shared insights into her life’s journey of intellect, resilience, and adventure, recounting both her triumphs and struggles against the backdrop of the East African landscape. Following the discussion, a lively Q&A session unfolded, with the audience asking thought-provoking questions. Jacqueline answered them with warmth and wisdom, offering profound insights into the stories behind her words.
Facing Mountains is not just a memoir—it’s a reflection on overcoming life’s challenges and embracing the peaks of human experience.
