Course Information
Learning Times
Age group: 5 to 7 years old: One teaching unit per Saturday from 13:00 – 14:00
Age group: 8 to 11 years old: Two teaching units per Saturday from 11:00 – 12:45
Age group: 12 to 15 years old: Two teaching units per Saturday from 09:00 – 10:45
Format: In-person
Frequency: Once per week (every Saturday)
Age Groups / Course Scope
Age group: 5 to 7 years old: One module with a textbook containing 9 learning stations
Age group: 8 to 11 years old: One module with a textbook containing 10 learning stations
Age group: 8 to 11 years old: 1.1 level, textbook with 9 learning stations

PLACEMENT TEST:
If you have some knowledge of German, you can take our placement test to determine your level. The test is available for free online here: TEST YOUR GERMAN
You can also take the test at our premises for the following prices:
Walk-in: UGX 50,000

TRANSLATION SERVICES:
We offer translation services of English texts into German and vice versa.Price (delivered within 5 working days):
Documents with font size 12 or larger with normal/large margins: 100,000 UGX per page
Documents with font size 11 or smaller with small margins: 150,000 UGX per page
Certification translation is 70,000 UGX
We also translate Luganda documents into English.
INDIVIDUAL / PRIVATE LESSONS:
One student: 50,000 UGX per 45 minutes
For groups: 45,000 UGX per 45 minutes
100% of the total amount has to be paid before class begins. Certificates of participation are issued exclusively for our standard classes (A1-C1)
Transportation for Uber rides (no Bodas) to the agreed class venue, if it is outside Goethe Zentrum Kampala (GZK), shall be covered by the corporate or organization requesting private or corporate courses. These transportation costs are not the responsibility of GZK.
Books
All students have to attend class with books (course book and exercise book)
Extensive Books: A1.1/A1.2/A2.1/A2.2/B1.1/B1.2: course book: 40,000 UGX and exercise book: 40,000 UGX for each level.
Extensive Books: B2.1/B2.2/C1.1/C1.2: course book: 100,000 UGX and exercise book: 100,000 UGX for each level
Intensive Books: A1/A2: course book: 70,000 UGX and exercise book: 70,000 UGX for each level.
Intensive Books B1: course book: 70,000 UGX and exercise book: 70,000 UGX.
Cancellation and refunds
If you wish to cancel your class, please note the following policies:
Cancellation within the First Week: You must cancel within the first week of attendance to be eligible for a refund, which will be subject to a 30% deduction. After the first week, no refunds will be provided for any payments already made.
Cancellation Procedure: Cancellations must be made in writing or via email.
Class-Specific Cancellations: If you need to cancel a specific class session, please inform us by email
(coursecoordinator@goethezentrumkampala.org) at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. If you cancel within 24 hours for more than two lessons, any further cancellations will be forfeited without compensation or rescheduling.

EXAM SUPERVISION:
The Goethe-Zentrum Kampala also offers German students in Uganda the possibility to locally supervise the examinations of their German University.
Price per exam supervised : UGX 470,000
