The GZK Spelling Bee 2026 is a platform where GZK students will challenge themselves, refine their German language skills and appreciate the power of words.

Date : Friday 17 July 2026
Time : 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Venue : GZK Basement
Entry: Free of charge and open to all GZK staff and students
Who Can Participate?
The competition is open to all GZK students from A1 to B2 levels as well as members of the Deutschklub, providing a fair and engaging experience for a wide range of learners.
How to Register
You can participate as a team (4 members) or an individual. Please register through any of the following:
- Your class representative or teacher
- The GZK Library
- The Deutschklub President
- GZK Student Ambassadors
What to Expect
Participants and attendees can look forward to:
- Engaging spelling rounds with increasing levels of difficulty
- A lively and supportive atmosphere
- Recognition and prizes for top performers
- Opportunities to connect and celebrate learning
Wordlist
All competition words will be taken from the official Goethe-Institut vocabulary lists for A1, A2, B1 and B2.
Competitors may download and study the word list for their respective level in preparation for the competition. Only words from the appropriate level will be used during the contest.
